The coating of long laminated beams in engineered timber construction is a particular challenge. Together with leading companies in the laminated timber industry, we have developed products that offer excellent protection, a sales-promoting appearance, and optimal processing. Nevertheless, we are able to offer these products at an excellent price-performance ratio.

The use of BauBuche is only permitted in service classes 1 and 2, where the material is protected from direct weathering. BauBuche has larger swelling and shrinkage dimensions than softwood. In particular, in the area of end grain cuts such as beam ends, offsets, cuts, and holes, contact with moisture can lead to significant swelling of the cross-section. In addition, contact with moisture leads to stain formation. Since weathering of the wooden components during the construction phase can hardly be completely excluded, the manufacturer Pollmeier sought suitable coating systems to ensure the temporary moisture protection of BauBuche during transport and assembly. We took on the challenge and developed suitable coating systems in collaboration with the manufacturer.

Strongly water-repellent wood oil on a water basis - formulated for machine application. For maintenance-free facades. A special combination of water-emulsified natural oils achieves high saturation of the wood cells, making the facade highly water-repellent for a long time. The product does not form a coating film like the common "graying glazes" on the market based on acrylate or silicate. There is no risk of flaking, making it the key to a maintenance-free facade. Over the years, it develops a natural patina. No re-treatment is required.
